NLB Banka Prishtina

Gem Maloku studied in the US and UK and has successfully finished the MBA programme on the IEDC – Bled School of Management. He started his career as an auditor at KPMG-Barents and Deloitte, eventually joining NLB Banka Prishtina in 2008 as Head of Risk Management department. Within the Bank he also served as a Senior Assistant to President of the Management Board responsible for risk management and Chief Risk Officer. He has been a Management Board member since 2020, and the Acting Chairman of the Management Board since August 2024.

Mirsad Haskaj holds a master's degree from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina. As he started his career in Kasabank, he was quickly promoted to the position of Director of Risk Management department. He has worked on several complex projects and initiatives, such as: the implementation of IFRS 9, automation of Group-wide reporting processes and reporting to the Central Bank of Kosovo as well as credit scoring process digitalisation for quick loans. In addition to his position as a member of the Management Board of NLB Banka Pristina, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Risk Committee of the Kosovo Banking Association.

Mr. Rrustemi graduated in Computer Engineering from the University of Prishtina and has completed the fundamental level of ACCA. He also completed the ProCredit Management Academy in Germany, where he attended a three-year executive management development program focused on banking, finance, management, and leadership.

Mr. Rrustemi began his professional career in the banking sector in 2006 as an Internal Auditor at ProCredit Bank Kosovo. During his career at the bank, he held a number of senior management positions, including Deputy Head and Head of the Internal Audit Department, before being appointed Senior Manager and a member of the extended Management Board. In this role, he was responsible for various areas, including information technology, product development, payments, cards, and electronic banking services, retail banking, customer service, account management, credit administration, general services, and the legal function.

As part of his engagements within the ProCredit Group, Mr. Rrustemi also served in parallel for nearly three years as a Member of the Audit Committee of ProCredit Bank Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From 2017 to 2026, Mr. Rrustemi served as a Member of the Management Board of Banka për Biznes (BPB), where he was responsible for information technology, product development, payments, cards, and electronic banking services, account management, credit administration, treasury, the management information system, and general services. During this period, he led significant digital transformation and operational excellence initiatives, contributing to the modernization of banking services, strengthening operational resilience, and the overall transformation of the bank.

In July 2026, Mr. Rrustemi joined NLB Bank as a Member of the Management Board and Chief Operations Officer (COO). In this role, he will lead the areas of Information Technology, Payments and Cash Processing, Banking Operations for Corporate and Retail Banking, Procurement and General Affairs, Process and Project Management, as well as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) function.

Mrs. Boryana Ivanova Mustafa holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Additionally, she completed the professional program of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), as well as a number of executive programs and professional trainings in the fields of finance, banking management, leadership, and international financial markets.

With over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial sector, Mrs. Mustafa has developed her career primarily within the NLB Group, while her professional background also includes roles in international organizations and other banking institutions.

From 2008 to 2019, she served as the Director of the Treasury and Payments Division at NLB Banka Prishtina, where she was responsible for managing treasury operations, liquidity, relations with international financial institutions, payment systems, and trade finance.

Subsequently, she served as Group Management Advisor for the CFO Stream at NLB Group, where she coordinated the activities of group entities in the areas of capital management, liquidity, financial planning, and corporate governance.

Throughout her career, she has also held a series of professional and supervisory roles in the financial institutions of the NLB Group and banking organizations in Kosovo.

In September 2026, Mrs. Boryana Ivanova Mustafa joined the Management Board of NLB Banka Prishtina as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, she is responsible for the financial management of the bank, financial planning and control, capital and liquidity management, treasury functions, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.

Yll Sejdiu first joined NLB Pristina in 2008 as Head of the Payment Sector and subsequently advanced within the bank, serving as Deputy Head of the Corporate Division and later as Head of the Corporate Division. In 2016, he was appointed Assistant to the Chairman of the Management Board for SME at NLB Pristina. He continued his professional path abroad, moving to New York where he worked as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from 2021 to 2023. Upon returning to Kosovo and rejoining NLB Pristina, he resumed his role as Assistant to the President of the Management Board for SME.

Mr. Sejdiu holds an MSc degree from the University of Pristina and a CPA certification from the New York State Department of Education.
