NLB Communication Projects Win Two Gold the! Awards

At this year’s conference of the Croatian Public Relations Association (HUOJ), KOMferencija in Split, we once again proved that with great ideas and plenty of positive energy, we can impress even an international panel of experts. We brought home two gold the! Awards – one for the Welcoming ATM and another for NLB Investor Day.

The already multi-award-winning project Welcoming ATM, which has previously received two international awards, SoMo Borac and Gold Quill, won the gold award in the Public Relations for Large Companies category. In collaboration with the agency Internavti, we created this playful gesture during the relocation of the newly merged OTP Bank headquarters to Ljubljana. In front of its new offices, we placed an ATM that, instead of dispensing cash, distributed warm welcome messages and small tokens of kindness, such as coffee vouchers for nearby cafés. The initiative received a great deal of public attention and approval – and now, once again, professional recognition.

 

The second gold award was received in the Events category for NLB Investor Day – a multidimensional gathering of more than 200 investors, financial experts, analysts, and representatives of key regional companies and media. At the event, we presented the new NLB Group business strategy until the year 2030, addressing challenges in the banking environment, opportunities in the region, and the beauty of Slovenia.

Our team never takes on projects just to fill our shelves with trophies. Still, we have to admit that such recognition not only makes us proud and happy but also confirms that we are doing the right things – with heart, a clear vision, creativity, and sometimes a bit of stubbornness to make them happen. Every award is recognition for the entire NLB team and our partners – and we are truly grateful for that. A double gold award is also a wonderful sign for the future and great motivation to keep creating more good stories.

The the! Award is an international PR award recognizing the best communication projects in Southeast Europe. The winners are selected by a panel of experts from participating countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
