At NLB Group We Will Close 2025 With Charitable Donations in All the Markets

Numbers are something very close to NLB. Understandably – after all, a bank must understand numbers, otherwise it is not a good bank. So we openly admit: numbers are important. But even more important is what lies behind them – the story and the impact those numbers create.

One of the numbers that will be particularly important for the NLB Group in this festive December is 9 – that is the number of charitable donations that NLB Group members will make this holiday season (two donations each in Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one each in Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Kosovo). Even more importantly, these donations will go to children, who are our future and the future of our home region, Southeast Europe. The NLB Group does not focus only on Slovenia but on the entire region where we operate – the region that is our home. It is here that we want to leave only the best traces.

At NLB d.d., we will allocate EUR 129,750 for holiday donations: EUR 29,750 to the Emergency Department of the Pediatric Clinic in Ljubljana for the purchase of a defibrillator, and EUR 100,000 to the Clinical Department for Reproduction at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana, supporting infertility treatment and thereby continuing to address the issue of low birth rates in Slovenia.

At NLB, we are aware that the future of our society depends on our children. Not only on them having the right value system, which we address in part through the NLB Youth Sports project, but also on the fact that we will actually have children. Demographic trends are extremely worrying, so as a systemic financial institution, we recognize the need to help in every way we can, including through donations like these. Couples are deciding later and later to have children, which increasingly leads to difficulties with conception. As we say, numbers are important, but the stories behind them are far more important. We hope our donations will create many happy and heartfelt stories.
Blaž Brodnjak, NLB’s CEO

When it comes to donations, the key thing is not the numbers, but the stories of couples who may finally have children thanks to the experts at the gynecological clinic, and the stories of little heroes being treated at the Pediatric Clinic.

Charitable donation also accompanied by a new campaign

The donations, both in Slovenia and in many other markets in the region where NLB Group operates, will also be supported by a new festive campaign. You are kindly invited to watch it.
