We are Top Employer for the fifth consecutive year

For the fifth consecutive year, NLB ranked among the best employers in the world. Top Employers Institute, an independent international certification company, has once again awarded to our bank the acclaimed Top Employer Slovenia certificate, which is earned by companies with excellent HR practices and development programmes for employees.

Through a complex evaluation process, Top Employers Institute determines how effective companies are at different approaches to working with employees. A certificate is awarded to those companies that provide excellent conditions for their employees, allowing them diverse development opportunities at all levels of the organisation, and strive for continuous improvements in the HR field.

“Staying in the company of the world’s best employers according to the assessment of Top Employers Institute is not an easy task. In order to be entitled to keep this certificate, we must develop and upgrade our HR practices from year to year. In the past year, for example, we focused on developing those skills and knowledge that we believe we will need in the future – to be ready for whatever may come. According to our own assessment, significant progress has also been made in communication with potential employees, as we have become more open and proactive,” said Vesna Vodopivec, General Manager of Human Resources and Organisation Development.

NLB became the first Slovene company and the only bank to receive this prestigious international certificate in 2016, and since then it has been upgrading its employee management practices year after year. The bank shares its knowledge and experience with other companies of the NLB Group – it is namely our desire and ambition that other members also receive this certificate.

“In NLB, we are aware that our employees with their knowledge, experience and commitment are crucial for the commercial success of the Bank, our Group, and the region in which we operate. This is why we are intensively investing in their development and welfare and we encourage them to use their potential. Successful, efficient and motivated employees make accomplishing our mission much easier – achieving good business results, contributing to the economic development and generating added value for our customers, and improving the quality of life in the region that is our home,” highlighted Blaž Brodnjak, President of the NLB Management Board.
