NLB MUZA Among the Top 10% of Atractions Worldwide, According to Visitor Reviews

The team behind MUZA – the museum, gallery, and academy –, operating under the auspices of NLB, is celebrating a prestigious global recognition: the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2025, placing MUZA among the top 10% of attractions worldwide based on visitor reviews. MUZA is also the only museum and gallery in Slovenia to receive this accolade.

Receiving the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award means a great deal to us. This recognition places us alongside natural gems like Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj – places where nature tells the story. It’s hard for culture to compete with such natural beauty, so the fact that we have managed to stand out and capture the attention of visitors from around the world is especially meaningful. It shows that cultural heritage is not just about the past — it's a living experience that people value and seek out.
Matko Mioč, Director of NLB MUZA

The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award is considered one of the most prestigious honours in the tourism industry. Each year, it is awarded to only the top 10% of attractions globally, based solely on reviews and ratings from real visitors over the past year – and not on applications, jury panels, or competition entries. That means MUZA earned this distinction because its visitors had such a great experience, they took the time to share glowing reviews online.

“Congratulations to MUZA on its recognition in Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2025,” said Kristen Dalton, President, Tripadvisor. “Ranking among the top percentage of businesses globally means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took time to go online and leave a glowing review about their experience. We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2025 and beyond.”

About NLB MUZA

MUZA – the museum, gallery, and academy – invites visitors to explore the Museum of Banking in Slovenia, as well as curated works from the NLB Art Collection, the largest private art collection in Slovenia, alongside other works by leading regional artists. The entire experience is professionally curated and managed by Zavod NLB MUZA.

The name MUZA wasn’t chosen by chance. In addition to its beautiful meaning (Muse), it’s also an acronym: M for muzej (museum), UZ for umetniška zbirka (art collection), and A for akademija (academy) – making it a true house of learning.

You can visit the MUZA Museum and Gallery at Čopova ulica 3 in the heart of Ljubljana. It is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00, except on Mondays.
