Developed in collaboration with numerous domestic and international institutions (a full list of participating institutions, authors, and contributors is available on the website), the exhibition examines the historical foundations of financial crime, which has been present throughout history. Visitors gain insight into the evolution of financial fraud—from the counterfeiting of early coinage in antiquity to modern-day euro counterfeiting and the transition of fraudulent activities into the digital environment.
The primary objective of the exhibition is not to evoke fear, but to raise awareness of the vulnerabilities faced by individuals and society as a whole. Rather than fostering anxiety, it creates an environment for education, understanding, and constructive dialogue on issues that are often overlooked, yet pervasive.
Hedvika Usenik, Member of the Management Board of NLB responsible for Retail and Private Banking, emphasized that NLB approaches information security with the highest level of diligence, adhering to applicable legislation, international standards, and established best practices.
